A new creation inspired by Autumn. The Indian Summer necklace features a swirling silver design centerpiece bejeweled with a rich tapestry of shimmering gemstones including:

Gems include:
- Padparadsha (orange) sapphire
- Rich iridescent bonze keshi pearls
- Golden yellow citrine
- Shimmering burgundy pearls
- Deep smokey quartz diamond briolette

The centerpiece features three citrine stones bezel set with fine silver wire. The chain is finished with a lobster clasp and extender adorned with a small yet vivid padparadsha sapphire briolette. All metal components are sterling or fine silver and have been oxidized and then polished to highlight the texture of the intricate wirework. Adjusts from 18-19.5 inches ( 46-50cm)

I created this for my Etsy Wire Goddess Team challenge. Unfortunately, I didn’t get it in before the deadline due to problems with my photo software, which are now resolved thank goodness. Maybe next time.

I was in the mood for something romantic. Drawing inspiration from my real life, I created a necklace and earrings based on a phrase a friend once used to describe his romantic relationship. For these pieces I used sterling and fine silver and ladened them with gems of deep red, blush pink, and black. The design of the centerpiece features a heart surrounded by graceful swirls as if it’s being carried on the winds. I soldered the pieces together and then adorned them with wire wraps and bezel-set black pearls to give the centerpiece some added texture and visual interest.

I repeated the heart motif and gem arrangement for the complementary earrings.

I love gemstones as much as I love designing and creating my jewelry. I have a small cache of gorgeous gems stashed away. I get them out now and then only to decide that I’m ready to use them. I think maybe the truth is that they are so lovely and mesmerizing that I just don’t want to part with them! Keeping something so lovely stashed away only to be viewed now and then is kind of silly though so I decided it’s finally time to create pieces that showcase these fab stones. May I present the Coloratura earrings and necklace:

The Coloratura necklace and earrings are a sumptuous design. They feature a luscious color palette of blues, greens and violettes and are adorned with generously sized amethyst focal briolettes surrounded by cascades of vivid gems including:

- Vivid swiss blue topaz
- Iridescent peacock stick pearls
- Lush green vesuvianite (AKA vessonite, idocrase)
- Luminous blue-violet tanzanite

All components are 14K GF and 24K vermeil. All gems are AAA quality. In addition to the dangling gems, the necklace features a blue topaz stone carefully set within a wirework bezel, and beneath that, a dangling vesuvianite briolette.

This woodland nymph is an enchanting creature. She’s made of sterling and fine silver and has an earthy palette of brown and mossy green gems, incuding a gleaming and rich smooth brown smokey quartz teardrop focal enveloped by cascading deep green vessonite, minty prehnite, and light smokey quartz. All gems are AAA quality. All components are sterlings silver, which I have oxidized and hand polished to highlight the wire work.

I’m back from my Summer haitus and am pleased to say that I have a brand new studio space and new creations to share. I have been holding onto some gorgeous stone focal pendants for a while and finally decided to create with and share them. For some of the stones I made some swirling bails. For others that are especially visually interesting, I let the stones speak for themselves. My new pieces will be for sale in my shop soon, but until then, here’s a sneak peak.

I’ll also be posting photos of my new studio once I get my workbench straightened up. After moving in, I cluttered it up with tools, gems and supplies in no time flat!
